A Gracious Husband, A Loving Father, and A Relentless Fighter...
He was always looking up
As one of his final exhibitions, Skip colored in an adult coloring book. The message, from Revelation 21:5, read "I am making everything new." It is such an appropriate passage for where we are at today.
We have lost a husband, a father, a family member, and a friend, but we celebrate Skip's restoration. We know that he is no longer experiencing any pain or sadness, but rather that he has found the rest and glory he so richly deserves. We know now that God's plan for Skip did not include miraculous healing for his earthly body, but we got to witness what it means for iron to sharpen iron. The longer Skip struggled, the more his love of Christ and family poured out, and day by day he grew closer to his King. Skip will be rememebered for his impossible positivity, his relentless fight, and his desire to lead others towards Christ.
Thank you for joining us in remembering, honoring, and celebrating this hero.
Family, friends, and guests are invited to celebrate Skip's life in a Memorial Service in the Sanctuary at Second Baptist Church - Woodway Campus on Tuesday, July 12th at 1:00PM CST.
A Reception will follow in the Deacon's Parlor.
